Mountain settlement that arose around a glasshouse in the 15th century. Many of the local inhabitants used to go into the world in search of work as masons, musicians and circus artistes, Šumava half-timber houses, baroque church of the Visitation. In the small park on the market-place is a Protected reserve of boletus muschrooms.
